In the fall of 2009, DC SCORES had a fairly small Facebook presence. We had 250 fans and we posted news about our program maybe once a week.
Fast forward about 15 months…
DC SCORES now has a huge presence on the social media site. We update our status a few times a week, all our blogs are exported to our Facebook page, and all our photo albums are there as well.
Of course, we wouldn’t spend so much time tending to the page if no one visited it. But with more than 950 fans, we know that’s not the case.
Facebook is a big, big part of our communications strategy. Our goal is to both inform and educate our fans through our page.
Now, we need your help! We want to reach that 1,000-fan plateau as soon as we can. So if you’re not a fan already, please go to the page and like us. And if you are, please refer it to any family, friends or coworkers you think might be interested in our cause.
The 1,000th fan will receive a DC SCORES prize – don’t worry, we’re keeping track – AND whoever refers the most new fans will also get a prize (simply tell your friends to post your name on our wall so we can record the referrals).
If you need to convince someone to become a fan, start by showing them this video of Noyes Education Campus’ Poetry Slam! performance.
Thanks for your support, fans!
