Capital Cup Championship games today at 4 p.m.

The 2010 DC SCORES middle school soccer season will come to its exciting conclusion this afternoon on the field at Columbia Heights Education Campus.

At 4 p.m., the girls teams from Friendship Edison and Paul will compete for the Capital Cup Championship. And at 5:15 p.m., Lincoln and Oyster-Adams will play for the boys championship.

In its first season a year ago, Oyster-Adams advanced to the title game but fell just short. Lincoln won the championship the first year of the current format in 2008.

The teams are part of the only public school soccer league for middle schools in the District. Friendship Edison and Paul played in a 10-team girls league while Lincoln and Oyster-Adams advanced out of a 12-team boys league.

Come out to the field – located behind Columbia Heights Education Campus on Hiatt Place – to support these outstanding poet-athletes!
