NOTE: Each week, we are featuring a school's performance from the 13th Annual Poetry Slam! During the two-night event, each of the 25 schools DC SCORES serves got the chance to perform original poems and songs.
On the first night of the Slam! at Columbia Heights Education Campus, Tubman Elementary School gave the audience a history lesson through poetry with their performance about the school's namesake Harriet Tubman.
And stay tuned tomorrow for a post detailing the roots of the school located in Columbia Heights.
