DC SCORES advances to national round of Stay Classy Awards, needs your votes

DC SCORES supporters, you’ve already made a huge difference.

Over a two-week span, you showed your appreciation for the impact our program has on 800 youth in the District.

You voted for us for the Most Creative Fundraiser in DC. You passed the word on to your friends. You posted the link to vote on your Facebook profiles. You told family members.

As a result, we beat out four other charities for the Stay Classy Award. Thank you! Your indelible impact on our program has never felt stronger.

Now, even more so, we need your help (vote!). As a result of your votes, we have advanced to the National Round of the awards. We’re competing against charities from seven other large cities – including New York and L.A. – for the grand prize:

$10,000 for DC SCORES and tremendous national recognition, including at the second annual Stay Classy Awards in San Diego Nov. 7.

Such an award would bolster our program in so many ways. The $10,000, of course, would help to buy more shin guards, jerseys, writing materials and more for our students. And the benefits of such recognition would be felt for quite some time, as we could use it in marketing ourselves and in every grant application we write.

This is a great opportunity for our program, and one that lies in our – and your – hands.

It’s simple. Just vote. Spread the word. Post to your profile. Any forms of communication would be welcomed.

Thank you, in advance, for everything you do for DC SCORES. We wouldn’t be able to provide our services to 25 schools in the District without you.
